What is counselling?

Counselling is a therapy process in which you can talk about your difficulties and find ways of coping.

Process

Your therapist will provide a safe and confidential space in which you can be open about your difficult experiences.  You will talk about your topics of choice and your counsellor will help you deal with situations that may be stressful.

How will this help?

Counselling can improve the way you feel and enable you to develop your communication skills to support in forming and maintaining positive relationships.  Counselling can help with issues such as anxiety and depression.  It can provide psychoeducation within specific areas of concern, such as eating disorders.
