What is Hatha Yoga?

Originating in ancient India; Hatha yoga uses traditional methods to focus on developing physical postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama).

The word "hatha" represents harmony between "ha" (sun), and "tha" (moon), which are otherwise seen as two opposing forces. 

Process

Hatha yoga emphasizes proper alignment, breath control, and holding poses for a period of time to build strength and flexibility.

It also aims to prepare the body and mind for meditation by promoting physical relaxation and mental clarity.

How will this help?

Hatha yoga is an excellent way to improve physical health, particularly strength and flexibility.  It is known to reduce and support the management of stress, provide relaxation and enhance overall wellbeing. 

Hatha yoga fosters balance and harmony in the body and mind.
