A Bit About Me
Sally Reid
An integrative, trauma-informed therapist offering EMDR, psychotherapy, body and movement-based therapy, and holistic wellness support, with special expertise in neurodevelopmental differences and trauma.
I am a UKCP-registered psychotherapist with a specialist focus on complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, and mind-body integration. I bring over 25 years of experience across education, psychotherapy, supervision, and training - working with people of all ages and backgrounds.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, person-centred, and creative. I draw from a rich blend of methods including EMDR, Movement Psychotherapy, Energy Psychology, and Zero Balancing. I also offer autism and ADHD assessments for children, young people, and adults.
Having worked in schools, foster care, higher education, and private practice, I’m passionate about adapting both therapy and teaching methods to meet the needs of each individual or group. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a compassionate, grounded space to support your growth and autonomy.
I also provide clinical supervision for psychotherapists and counsellors, and have taught and led academic programmes both in the UK and internationally.
My practice is informed by ongoing research, regular supervision, and a strong commitment to professional and ethical excellence.
“The body is the instrument of our hold on the world.”
— Simone de Beauvoir, The Second Sex (1949)
At the heart of my work is a belief in every person’s capacity for change, and a deep respect for the unique strengths and stories each individual brings.

Supporting Health, Wellbeing and a Life Free from Dis-ease
With a professional background in nutrition, integrative psychotherapy, and energy-based healing, I offer holistic support to individuals seeking greater balance, vitality, and emotional wellbeing. My experience spans work in palliative care, private practice, and therapeutic settings where I have supported clients navigating physical illness, emotional overwhelm, neurodevelopmental differences, trauma, and chronic stress.
From both a personal and professional perspective, I understand how life events - including illness such as cancer - can impact not just the body, but a person’s sense of identity, agency, and trust in their own health. My approach combines therapeutic insight with body-based and energetic tools such as Movement Psychotherapy, EMDR, Energy Psychology, and Zero Balancing. I also draw on my clinical training in nutrition and use this knowledge to support sustainable, nourishing lifestyle changes that promote long-term wellbeing.
Together, we can explore how physical symptoms, emotional stress, and lifestyle factors may be connected - and begin to gently shift the patterns that contribute to dis-ease.
I support clients to:
-
Reconnect with their body through movement and awareness
-
Release emotional blocks and residual trauma
-
Restore energetic balance and calm the nervous system
-
Make informed choices around nutrition and self-care
-
Create space for joy, vitality, and inner alignment
My work is grounded, compassionate, and tailored to the whole person. Whether you are recovering from illness, managing ongoing health concerns, or want to feel more connected and well, I offer an integrative space where healing, empowerment, and growth can unfold.
